Ben Folds is Back: "What Matters Most" Tour and Album Coming in 2023

Award winner musician Ben Folds recently released major tour news!  Ben Folds, minus his "Five", will be heading out on a whirlwind tour across the United States to promote his upcoming album, "What Matters Most".  

Ben Folds is a musician, singer, and songwriter who has made a name for himself in the music industry with his unique blend of rock, pop, and classical music. Born on September 12, 1966, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Ben Folds grew up playing the piano and singing in his church choir. He later went on to attend the University of Miami's music program before dropping out to pursue his music career.

Folds first gained attention as the lead singer and pianist of the band Ben Folds Five, which he formed in the early 1990s with bassist Robert Sledge and drummer Darren Jessee. The band's self-titled debut album, released in 1995, was a critical and commercial success, thanks to hits like "Brick" and "Philosophy." The album's mix of punk, pop, and piano-based rock earned the band a devoted following, and they went on to release four more albums before disbanding in 2000.

Following the breakup of Ben Folds Five, Folds continued to make music as a solo artist, releasing his first solo album, "Rockin' the Suburbs," in 2001. The album, which included the hit title track, showcased Folds' signature blend of humor and sincerity, as well as his skill as a pianist and arranger. Folds has also worked on several film and TV soundtracks, including the soundtrack for the movie "Over the Hedge."
