The tournament will consist of 10 weight classes ranging from 125 pounds to 285 pounds in a single-elimination bracket, with the winner of each weight class being crowned the Big Ten champion. A team competition is also held, with the team that scores the most points across all weight classes being crowned the Big 10 team champion. Favorite to win individual titles include Spencer Lee, Roman Bravo-Young, Real Woods, Austin Gomez, Peyton Robb, Cam Amine, Carter Starocci, Aaron Brooks, Max Dean and Mason Parris.

Over the years, the Big Ten Wrestling Championships have seen many dominant performances by individuals and teams, including multiple-time champions and record-breaking performances. The tournament has also produced many Olympic and World champions, as well as All-Americans, making it a showcase for some of the best talent in the sport of wrestling.  Look for Penn State to dominate while the Iowa Hawkeyes and Ohio State Buckeyes battle in out for second place.
