She is currently on tour with George Strait through Sept. 28, and then she has a few Casino shows in October. There will be a special performance on Oct. 1 in Nashville at the Bluebird Cafe. "The Joy of Christmas" Tour will kick off on Nov. 9 in Jacksonville, FL and conclude in Chicago, IL on Dec. 21.
McBride said of the tour, "“This is such a fun and special tour to do, I love bringing Christmas to life on stage and putting everyone in the Christmas spirit. My favorite part of the show is the Q&A where I go into the audience. You never know what is going to happen, and the spontaneity is something I really enjoy."
In 2012, McBride released a 40 song album of her best hits titled, "The Essential Martina McBride." In 2014, she has big plans to release a new studio record.
Under her belt, he accolades include winning the Country Music Association's "Female Vocalist of the Year" award four times, eleven studio albums, five singles that climbed to the No. 1 on the country chart between 1995 and 2001, and one song that peaked at No. 1 on the adult contemporary chart in 2003, and has sold over 14 million albums.
