U2 Las Vegas

The U2:UV ACHTUNG BABY LIVE residency at the brand new SPHERE in Las Vegas, is one of the most anticipated events in the music industry. U2 is one of the most successful bands in the world, having sold over 170 million records worldwide. The band was formed in Dublin, Ireland, in 1976, by Bono (vocals), The Edge (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums, percussion). They started as a post-punk band and later evolved to incorporate elements of alternative rock, electronic dance music, and pop.

The band gained worldwide fame in the 1980s with their albums, War (1983), The Unforgettable Fire (1984), and The Joshua Tree (1987). These albums featured hits like "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "Pride (In the Name of Love)," "With or Without You," "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," and "Where the Streets Have No Name." The Joshua Tree is considered one of the greatest albums of all time and has sold over 25 million copies.

In 1991, U2 released Achtung Baby, which marked a significant departure from their previous sound. The album was influenced by the band's experiences with the Berlin Wall's fall and the reunification of Germany. It incorporated elements of industrial and electronic dance music, and its lyrics dealt with themes of love, betrayal, and redemption. The album features hits like "One," "Mysterious Ways," and "Even Better Than the Real Thing."

The U2:UV ACHTUNG BABY residency will feature the band performing Achtung Baby in its entirety, along with other classic hits from their extensive catalog. The residency promises to be a visual and sonic spectacle, with the band known for their innovative use of technology and stage design.

U2 has always been known for their philanthropic work, and their residency in Las Vegas will be no different. The band will donate a portion of the ticket sales to various charities, including the ONE Campaign, which they co-founded in 2004 to fight global poverty and disease.
