The Pixies: Legends of Alternative Rock to Tour in 2023

Since their formation in Boston in 1986, the Pixies have been one of the most influential and innovative bands in alternative rock. They are known for their loud, aggressive sound, unique songwriting, and dynamic live shows. Over the years, they have amassed a dedicated following and influenced countless other musicians, making them a true force in the world of music.

After a hiatus in the early 2000s, the Pixies reunited in 2004 and have been touring and recording ever since. In 2023, they are embarking on a massive tour that will take them across the United States and Mexico, with stops in some of the most iconic venues in the country.  Joining the Pixies on select dates are Franz Ferdinand, Bully, and Modest Mouse.

The tour kicks off on May 4th at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California, before heading to the Golden State Theatre in Monterey on May 6th. From there, the band will make their way to Phoenix, Arizona, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Denver, Colorado, before playing two shows at the Encore Theatre at Wynn in Las Vegas on May 12th and 13th. They will then head to Salt Lake City, Utah, to play the Kilby Block Party on May 14th.

On May 18th, the Pixies will head to Cuauhtémoc, Mexico, to play at the Teatro Metropolitan, followed by a performance at the Corona Capital festival in Mexico City on May 21st. The tour will then return to the United States, with shows in Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Columbus, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Raleigh, Asheville, and Manchester before playing at the Bonnaroo festival on June 18th.

After Bonnaroo, the band will head to Atlanta, Georgia, and New Orleans, Louisiana, before playing in Texas at the Bayou Music Center in Houston, the Southside Ballroom in Dallas, and the Moody Amphitheater in Austin. They will then take a break before resuming the tour on August 20th at the Stone Pony Summerstage in Asbury Park, New Jersey. From there, they will play shows in New York City, Bridgeport, Connecticut, Cooperstown, New York, North Adams, Massachusetts, Lewiston, New York, Indianapolis, Chicago, Vail, Colorado, Boise, Idaho, Spokane and Bonner, Montana, Seattle, Washington, and Vancouver, British Columbia, before wrapping up the tour at the Oxbow RiverStage in Napa, California on September 15th and Gallagher Square in San Diego on September 16th.
