Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a two-part stage play written by Jack Thorne, based on an original new story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Thorne. It premiered on 30 July 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London and continues to play in London, on Broadway in New York at the Lyric Theater and in Toronto at the Ed Mirvish Theater. It is an official Harry Potter story and follows Harry Potter, now an adult, as he embarks on a new adventure.

In Part 1 of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Harry Potter's son Albus is struggling to live up to the family legacy and find his place in the Wizarding World. Meanwhile, dark forces are threatening the magical world, and Harry and his friends must join forces to confront the threats and determine their fate.

As the story progresses, Albus' struggles with his identity and the intense pressure to live up to his family legacy become even more intense. He and his Hogwarts friends are tasked with a dangerous mission to protect both the magical and muggle worlds. As they explore their surroundings and come face-to-face with the dark forces threatening them, Albus and his friends begin to discover the power and strength that lies in friendship and working together.

In Part 2, Albus and his friends must come together to confront even greater dangers. They battle formidable foes as they uncover a powerful artifact, as well as a dark secret that will challenge their loyalties and bring them face-to-face with an unspeakable evil.

Albus and his friends must find a way to thwart the evil threatening their world. Their journey takes them to forgotten forests and cursed ruins, and eventually leads them to the center of a vast and powerful organization with a sinister agenda. Along the way, they uncover clues that gradually reveal the truth about the artifact and the dark secret. In the end, Albus must make a fateful choice: save his world from darkness, or succumb to its power.
