Elf The Musical 2013

Elf is the Musical version of the 2003 Will Ferrell comedy of the same name  The score is done by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, and the book was adapted by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan.  Previously, the musical ran on Broadway during the Christmas seasons of 2010-11 and 2012-13, and additionally toured the U.S. in 2012.

The story of Elf is as follows, William "Buddy" Hobbs, a young orphan baby, accidentally creeps his way into Santa’s bag of presents and travels to the North Pole with Santa. After many years, Buddy, eventually comes to the realization that he is a regular human being and travels to New York City to find his father.

Eventually, Buddy finds him, but Walter, his father, completely lacks any Christmas spirit, much like the whole city of New York.  Buddy figures out that this is why Santa's sleigh doesn't fly well anymore, because it is powered by Christmas Spirit!

Buddy has to come to grips with the knowledge that Walter is on the naughty list and his younger brother, Michael, doesn't even believe in Santa. Buddy is determined to persevere and save Christmas and his family and help everyone to remember the true meaning of Christmas.
