Macklemore and Ryan Lewis Announce New 2016 Tour
Hip hop phenoms Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have not been on tour in over two years even though they had tons of publicity last year for their latest album released in 2012. Now, the duo have announced a new tour that will be in support of a forthcoming new LP. The tour will kick off Jan. 9 om Phoenix, AZ and will wrap up Feb. 5 in Milwaukee, WI. Macklemore is known for his generous and social conscious heart, so ticket proceeds will go towards Equal Justice Initiative, Youth Speaks and the 30/30 Project.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis plan to release their new LP soon which will feature the singles “Downtown” and “Growing Up (Sloane’s Song)” feat. Ed Sheeran. Their last album, “The Heist” was released in 2o12 and reached the #2 spot on the Billboard 200. In 2014, the group had seven nominations at the Grammy Awards and even took home four Awards. They’ve won 21 of the 64 major awards that they’ve been nominated for.
