Christian Rock Band Skillet Announces ‘Air1 Positive Hits’ Tour

I’m not sure why, but it always surprises me when I hear just how huge of a following mainstream Christian bands have.  One of the major Christian rock bands out there, Skillet just announced a huge new 2017 tour.  This tour is dubbed the “Air1 Positive Hits Tour” and will kick off for the first of 28 dates Sept. 27 in Dayton, OH and will wrap up Nov. 12 in Grand Prairie, TX.  Other stops along the way include Nashville, Houston, Las Vegas and Seattle.  Joining Skillet on tour will be special guests Britt Nicole, American Idol alum Colton Dixon, Tauren Weels and Gawvi.  Skillet last toured last year on their “Unleashed Tour” and included guest appearances by Sick Puppies, Devour the Day and Thousand Foot Krutch. Before the tour kicks off, fans can check out Skillet at the Rise Above Festival with Korn and Shinedown.

This tour will continue to support Skillet’s latest studio album, “Unleashed” which was released about a year ago in August of 2016.  “Unleashed” is the band’s tenth studio album and peaked at the #3 spot on the Billboard 200 and includes the hits “Feel Invincible” and “Stars.”  Their previous album, “Rise” was released in 2013 and reached the top of the charts on Billboard’s Alternative, Christian, Hard Rock and Rock charts.  The band got start back in 1996 and has sold more than 2 millions albums in the United States and also received two Grammy nominations.
