Sleater-Kinney Announces New 2019 Fall Tour
Arguably one of the best all female indie/punk groups out there, Sleater-Kinney is ready to hit the road hard again later this fall with a brand new tour. Their first since 2015! This is a lengthy tour and the first of 31 shows will kick off Oct. 9 in Spokane, WA and will wrap up Nov. 23 in Seattle, WA. They’ll also travel to Chicago, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Toronto, Detroit and Dallas. The group reformed after an 8-year hiatus in 2014 and traveling extensively the following year with many sold out shows.
Sleater-Kinney plans to release a brand new studio album ‘The Center Won’t Hold’ sometime in 2019. Their previous album, ‘The Woods’ was released in 2015 and peaked at a career-best #18 on the Billboard 200 and includes A TON of guest appearances like Fred Armisen, Sarah Silverman, Dinosaur Jr.’s Mascis. Sleater-Kinney was an integral part in the rise of the indie rock scene in the Pacific Northwest.
