Stone Temple Pilots Plan April Tour
Technically, Stone Temple Pilots are still together, but they sound a little different these days. Scott Weiland kind of dug his own grave with the Grammy Award-winning rock band. He just couldn’t get his personal demons under control with drug use. Sad story. He was really talented, in my opinion. At any rate, standing in Weiland’s place is the one and only Chester Bennington of Linkin Park.
Bennington and the remaining members of STP are planning to hit the road this April for a brief tour. The band is hard at work on new music and will show case that in a bunch of shows starting April 8 in Seattle, WA. The tour will wrap up April 30 in Philadelphia, PA. Some of the big stops along the way include San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, NYC, Boston and more.
The new STP released their first EP, “High Rise” on Oct. 8 of 2013. Before that, the last album from the original group was a self titled album reached the #2 spot on the Billboard 200.
