Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Plan 40th Anniversary Tour with Joe Walsh and Chris Stapleton

This is one of the hottest concert announcements of 2016!  Veteran rock legend, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers just announced an enormous 40th Anniversary tour in 2017.  This is a 35-date tour and will kick off in Oklahoma City on April 20 and will wrap up July 27 in Forest Hill, NY for back to back shows in Queens.  The guys will also stop in Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, Chicago at Wrigley Field, Milwaukee at Summerfest and Philadelphia.  Special guests will be Joe Walsh on most dates and Chris Stapleton on a few dates.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released two new companion box sets of all of their studio albums on 180=gram vinyl on Dec. 9th.  Included on the compilation are a few LPs that have been discontinued for many years.  Their last album, “Hypnotic Eye” was released in 2014 and quickly peaked at the #1 spot on Billboard 200.  They toured that year in support of that album with Steve Winwood.  Tom Petty toured earlier this year with his 70’s Southern rock band, Mudcrutch in support of their second studio album.
