Duran Duran Plan New 2016 Tour
Another band from the 80’s/90’s is heading back to the road for a North American tour! They’re hungry like the wolf and Duran Duran is ready to head out on co-headlining tour with Chic feat. Nile Rodgers. The tour will kick off March 28 in Durham, NC and will wrap up Aug. 3 in Glendale, AZ. Fans of the Synthpop quartet can also check them out in Tampa, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Dallas and Las Vegas, as well as Montreal and Toronto in Canada.
This tour will be in support of Duran Duran’s newest album, “Paper Gods” which was released in September. This is the band’s fourteenth album and reached the #10 spot on the Billboard 200. Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante helped craft this album. This is their most successful album in 22 years, since their 1993 album, “Duran Duran” (a.k.a. “The Wedding Album”). At the 2015 MTV VMA’s, the group won the Video Visionary Award.
