Foo Fighters Announce Huge North American Tour
Squee! As I’ve previously mentioned, the Foo Fighters are one of my most favorite bands ever. Previously they had announced that they will be playing a show at Wrigley Field, which will be epic, but now they have announced that they will be heading out on a giant North American tour in the fall of 2015. The tour will kick off in Washington D.C. on July 4th for their 20th Anniversary Blowout. The Blowout will feature Trombone Shorty, Buddy Guy, Z-Trip, Heart, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, LL Cool J, Trouble Funk and Gary Clark Jr. The tour will wrap up Oct. 7 in Memphis, TN. Other stops on the tour include Boston, Chicago, Anaheim, Atlanta, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and more! Special guests, Royal Blood, will join the Foo on the first half on their tour.
The tour will be in support of the band’s new album, “Sonic Highways” which was released on Nov. 10.. The group made an HBO special about the making of the album. The special was titled, “Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways” and it aired on Oct. 17. This new album is the Foo’s eighth album. Their last album was in 2011 and titled, “Wasting Light” an was a chart topper across the world.
