Dixie Chicks Are Back with New 2016 Tour
Whoa! Did you hear? The Dixie Chicks are making a come back! After their comments on Bush and the war in the early 2000’s, they kind of faded into the background. Now the all female country group is back and planning a new 2016 tour. The Dixie Chick’s North American tour is dubbed the DCX MMXVI World Tour and will stop in 4o cities and will kick off June 1 in Cincinnati, OH and will wrap up Oct. 10 in Los Angeles, CA. This is the group’s first U.S. tour in 10 years. Before this tour sets off, they will play a bunch of European shows in the spring.
The Dickie Chicks are actually a quite talented group. They have won 13 Grammy Awards and have sold over 30 million albums since they got together in 1989. Their last album, “Taking the Long Way” was released back in 2006 and quickly reached the #1 spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 and went 2x Platinum. In 2010, the Dixie Chicks opened for The Eagles during their tour.
