John Legend Announces 2018: A Legendary Christmas Tour

If you have been living under a rock like I have, you might not have known that John Legend recently became the world’s youngest EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) winner.  He’s also the first black entertainer to do it.  Bravo, man.  Really.  The accomplishment has obviously made his feel festive, so to celebrate he announced his first-ever collection of Christmas music due out Oct. 26 via Columbia Records. The new album is entitled, ‘A legendary Christmas’ and Legend will support the record on his 25-date “A Legendary Christmas Tour”.

The album will feature classics like “Silver Bells”, “Christmas Time is Here”, “Please Come Home for Christmas”, and a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Purple Snowflakes. ” The 14-track effort was executive produced by Raphael Saadiq. Stevie Wonder plays harmonica on opener “What Christmas Means to Me” and jazz bassist/singer Esperanza Spalding features on “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”.

John Legend is one half of the greatest couples of our time.  He is married to feisty model Chrissy Tiegan.
