Bob Seger Annouces 2018-19 Farewell Tour

Another Detroit rock legend is ready to hang up his hat. Bob Seger dropped the news that he will be heading out on a farewell tour later this year.  The tour, dubbed the ‘Travelin’ Man Tour,’ will include rescheduled shows from his Runaway Train Tour which was cut short due to health reasons.  It kicks off Nov. 21 in Grand Rapids, MI and will wrap up May 2 in Spring, TX.  Seger and the Silver Bullet Band will also visit Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas and many more.

Seger released his latest album, ‘I Knew You When’ almost a year ago on Nov. 17, 2017 via Capitol Records.  It was his eighteenth studio album.  His previous album, ‘Ride Out’ was released in 2014 and debuted at teh #3 spot on the Billboard 200.  The album contained a mix of originals and covers of Steve Earle‘s ‘The Devil’s Right Hand’ and John Hiatt‘s ‘Detroit Made.’ He supported that album with his ‘Ride Out Tour’ which had his traveling across North America into 2015 with J. Geils Band.  In 2012, Seger was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and in 2004 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
