John Carpenter Announces Fall Tour in Support of New Album Celebrating Horror Movies

Ohh!!! This is a fun one!  Get ready for this news, Halloween die-hards!  The legendary horror film director and composer, John Carpenter,  just announced that he will be bringing his act on the road this in support of his soon-to-be-released album, “Anthology Movie Themes 1974-1998.”  Obviously this tour will take place during the fall, kicking off for the first of 14 shows on Oct. 28 in Las Vegas, NV and wrapping up Nov. 19 in Syracuse, NY.  He will also visit Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, NYC and Philadelphia.  Fans got their first ever taste of Carpenter’s live show last year at Iceland’s All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival.

John Carpenter plans to release his newest album, “Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1988” right before Halloween on Oct. 20, 2017 via Sacred Bones Records.  This is his third studio album and fans can look forward to recorded version of his popular theme songs including The Thing, Escape from New York, They Live, Halloween and In the Mouth of Madness.  His other albums were “Lost Themes” and “Lost Themes II” and were released in 2015 and 2016.  He last released a horror movie in 2011, “The Ward” and was his first full length film since his “Ghost of Mars” film in 2001.
