Andrew McMahon: In The Wilderness Tour

Excuse me while I geek out for a moment.  It has just been announced the piano rock singer, Andrew McMahon will be heading out on a headlining tour this fall.  Yes!  Andrew McMahon.  The same guy of my absolute most favorite band evvvvvv-er, Something Corporate.  Squee!  I love, love, love Andrew McMahon.  At any rate, this new tour is titled the “In the Wilderness” tour and is in support of his debut solo album named, “Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness.”  The tour will kick off Oct. 14 in San Diego, CA and will wrap up Nov. 29 in Santa Ana, CA.  Other cities to be visited include L.A., Denver, St. Louis, Nashville and more.  Prior to this tour, McMahon can be seen with Wild Party, Gavin DeGraw and Matt Nathanson.

As previously mentioned, McMahon got his start with Something Corporate in 1998 Side note: their song, Konstantine, is life changing.  You must listen to it!).  In 2004, SoCo went on hiatus and McMahon went on to have success with his side project, Jack’s Mannequin.  IMHO, JM didn’t do as much for me as Something Corporate.   He went on to a solo career in 2012.  He released his solo EP, “The Pop Underground” in 2013.  The first single from the EP is titled, Cecilia and the Satellite.” in tribute to his newborn daughter.
