Trey Anastasio Announces New 2021 Tour feat. New Bassist

One of the OGs of the jam band summer tour circuit, Trey Anastasio, just dropped the news of yet another U.S. tour later in 2021.  The new 13 date tour will feature brand new bassist Dezron Douglas and will kick off Sept. 17 in Portland, ME, and will conclude Oct. 3 in NYC, NY.  The Phish co-founder will be traveling up and down the East coast and will also stop in Boston, New Haven, Philadelphia, Charlottesville, Wilmington, Charlotte, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Washington DC and tons more. Phish will be on tour throughout the rest of the summer.

Anastasio’s last album, “Lonely Trip” was released in July of 202 via Rubber Jungle Records.  This is his eleventh studio album. His previous album, “Ghosts of the Forest” was released in 2019, and “Paper Wheels” was dropped in 2015 and climbed to #16 on Billboard’s Independent album chart. Also in 2015, Anastasio was featured in The Grateful Dead’s Fare Thee Well 50th Anniversary show at Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium.  Not just a jam band superstar, he was also nominated for Best Original Score at the Tony Awards in 2013 for his work in the Broadway musical, Hands on a Hardbody.
