Lindsey Stirling: A Girl, her Violin and a Tour
A violinist doesn’t sound that exciting to the rock world, but Lindsey Stirling is breaking barriers and bringing her sound mainstream. The YouTube sensation announced a new album and tour in support of the album. The 34-city tour will have her kicking off Sept.21 in San Diego, CA and wrapping up Nov. 12 in Phoenix, AZ. Prior to the tour, fans can also check her out at a bunch of festivals like New York City’s Panorama, Ontario’s Wayhome and at Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Before this tour kicks off, Lindsey will release her newest and third album, “Brave Enough” on Aug. 17 via her own record label, Lindseystomp Records. Her last album, “Shatter Me” was released in 2014 and reached the #2 spot on the Billboard 200. Last summer, she was really busy touring with Lights and Robert DeLong. Her big break was her stint on NBC’s America’s Got Talent where she was a quarter finalist on season five. Lindsey is breaking all kinds of records for her music, having won two YouTube Music Awards, two Streamy Awards, two German Echo Music Awards and if that wasn’t enough, a Billboard Music Award.
