Alice in Chains Announces New Leg of 2016 North American Tour

Good news 90’s rock fans!  You now have another chance to check out Alice in Chains live.  The group announced another headlining leg of North American shows.  Their first leg kicks off July 6 in Portland, OR and will wrap up July 25 in NYC.  After that, AiC will be the opening act for Guns N’ Roses.  The second leg will kick off on Sept. 17 in Chester, PA for a 13-city run and will wrap up on Oct  8 in Reno, NV.

The band has gone through quite a history, as their original vocalist who put the band on the map, Layne Staley, just never could get his drug issues under control and succumbed to them in 2002.  In 2006, William DuVall took over as lead singer and has done a great job with it. The bands fourth studio album, the first with DuVall, “Black Gives Way to Blue” was even certified Gold by RIAA. It’s been widely known that Alice is Chains is working on a new album,  their sixth, but a title and release date have not been announced.
