Alabama Shake’s Brittany Howard Announces Solo North American Tour

In my humble opinion, she is one of the coolest women in rock, Alabama Shake’s Brittany Howard.  The frontwoman is ready to take the tour scene by storm with her own solo tour across North America.  The tour will be in support of her soon-to-be-released debut album ‘Jamie.’  I have strong feelings that your world will be rocked by this album and tour.  The first of 14 shows will kick off with back to back shows in Asheville, NC and will wrap up Oct. 13 in Atlanta, GA.  She will also travel to Washington D.C., Nashville, Chicago, Toronto, NYC, Philadelphia and L.A.  Fans can also check her out at festivals like Austin City Limits and Afropunk.

Brittany Howard plans to release her debut solo album, ‘Jamie’ on Sept. 20, 2019.  The album is named after her sister who very sadly died of cancer while they were teenagers.  Alabama Shakes last released an album in 2015, ‘Sound & Color’ and climbed all the way to #1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. In 2016, she made a guest appearance on John Legend‘s song ‘Darkness and Light’ from his fifth album which shares the same name.
