Chris Cornell Announces Higher Truth Tour
Hot concert news! The former (current?) Soundgarden lead singer, Chris Cornell, just announced a new, extensive tour! This tour will be in support of his newest solo album, his first in six years. The tour will kick off on Sept. 20 in Los Angeles, CA and will wrap up Nov. 2 in Austin, TX.
As an act of good will, a dollar from each ticket sale will go to his charity, The Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation. Their foundation helps protect at risk children facing homelessness, poverty or neglect and abuse. For the most part, their work has been private and anonymous, but now they’re going balls to the wall for a very worthy cause.
Cornell’s newest album, Higher Truth, is set to be released on Sept. 18 and was produced by Brendan O’Brien. His last album, “Scream” was released in 2009 and was critically acclaimed.
