Chicago’s Riot Fest 2019 lineup: Bikini Kill, AVAIL, Blink-182, Slayer, and The Raconteurs

Just this morning, Chicago’s Riot Fest released their 2019 lineup.  This marks the 15th anniversary of the three-day punk and hardcore music festival.  Once again it will take place in Douglas Park from Sept. 13-15th.

Blink-182 will get a chance at redemption after having to cancel their appearance at Riot Fest 2018 by returning as a top billed act.  Other headlining performers include Slayer, Bikini Kill, AVAIL and The Raconteurs.   Also performing at the festival include Rise Against, Patti Smith, Die Antwoord, Rancid, Violent Femmes, Descendents, The B-52s, Jawbreaker, Manchester Orchestra, Bob Mould, Guided By Voices, Ride, Pennywise, Hot Snakes, American Football, Hot Water Music, Village People (Say wha?), Cursive, Anthrax, and The Struts.

Fans can also look forward to the tradition of several full album performances. Ones to definitely check out include, The Flaming Lips will gift fans with Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robot; Bloc Party will play Silent Alarm; Avail will reunite to perform Over the James; Ween will entertain with The Mollusk; Dashboard Confessional will play The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most; and Taking Back Sunday will perform both Tell All Your Friends and Louder Now.

Completing the lineup are GWAR, Against Me! (performing Reinventing Axl Rose and Transgender Dysphoria Blues), Testament, Glassjaw (performing Worship & Tribute), The Selecter (performing Too Much Pressure), Nick Lowe, The Get Up Kids, Less Than Jake, The Damned Things, Turnstile, Surfer Blood, The Ergs!, Save Ferris, White Reaper, Lucero, Andrew W.K., H20, Cherry Glazerr, Anti-Flag, and more.

Now this will be an amazing festival and not to miss if you’re in the area.
