Disney on Ice: Frozen

The Mommy message boards are all a twitter today with the news that the latest Disney on Ice show will showcase the phenomenon that is Frozen.  Frozen, the movie, has raked in over $1.2 billion in sales worldwide and shows no signs of slowing any time soon.  Frozen will now become a touring ice-skating show, as announced on New York Times.  Disney on Ice: Frozen will kick off in late fall 2014.

This show is going to be really fun for everyone.  The producers and pulling out all the stops.  The production will include 39 cast members, nine tractor-trailers, and best of all, there will be twenty snow machines creating a “frozen” atmosphere.  The tour will kick off in Orlando, FL on Sept. 5 and will wrap up on May 5 in Tampa, FL making many stops across the country.

For those unfamiliar, the story tells the tale of a princess with special powers to change the weather and make snow.  It is based on the Hans Christian Anderson story, the Ice Queen.  It really is a heart-warming tale of sisters.
