Silversun Pickups Announce Widow’s Weeds 2019 Tour

No joke, I just confused Silverchair with Silversun Pickups.  You can see my confusion.  Both have ‘Silver’ in their names and they both have kind of Smashing Pumpkins kind of sound.  Anyhoo…The Silversun Pickups just announced a 2019 tour across the U.S. to support their latest album, ‘Widow’s Weeds.’  The first of 12 shows will kick off June 2 in Santa Barbara, CA and will wrap up July 20 in Sayreville, NJ.  They will also travel to Fresno, Bakersfield, Clifton Park, Burlington, Portland and Stroudsburgh.  During the summer, fans can also check out Silversun Pickups at a number of music festivals including X107.5’s OBC, KROQ Weenie Roast, 95X Big-X-Cuse, 103.3 The Edge CRNVL and KAABOO.
The Silversun Pickups plan to release their fifth studio album, ‘Widow’s Weeds’ on June 7, 2019 via New Machine Recordings.  Their previous album, ‘Better Nature’ was released in 2015 and climbed to the #16 spot on the Billboard 200.  Point of interest, that album was the first to include a song under four minutes.  Hm.  In 2017, the band toured with Third Eye Blind on their ‘ Summer Gods Tour and later on their own headlining tour with special guests Minus the Bear.
