Tame Impala Announces 2019 Summer Tour

After absolutely killing it at Coachella, Tame Impala is ready to take their act on the road for a round of North American tour dates this summer.  The tour will officially kick off July 26 in Toronto, ON and will wrap up Aug. 24 in Washington D.C.  Front man Kevin Parker will also take his psych rock project to Madison Square Garden, The Mann Center in Philly and Asheville.  He will also be at a number of festivals this summer including Lollapalooza in Chicago, Mo Pop Festival in Detroit, Shaky Knees Festival and Boston Calling in the U.S., and should you be abroad, you can see him at Norway’s Oya Festival, and Pukkelpop in Belgium.

Tame Impala recently released two singles, ‘Patience’ and ‘Borderline’ and was the music act on Saturday Night Live.  Though fans are clamoring for a new album, Parker is in no rush.

“I like to think that the album is its own thing,” Parker explained. “I wouldn’t want in 20 years to be listening to an album I made now and think that I finished it for any deadline or any particular reason. It was finished because it was finished.”
