Boy George and Culture Club Bring 80s Club Scene Back on Tour
Do you really want to hurt me? Boy George is one odd dude, seriously, but he puts on one heck of a show. Recently, his band, Culture Club, announced a huge new tour; their first full tour in over 12 years! The tour will kick off on July 5 in Orlando, FL and will wrap up Aug. 27 in Los Angeles, CA. Some of the other stops along the way include Brooklyn, Chicago, Nashville and Las Vegas. Before they come state side, Boy George and his band will tour in Australia and the Philippines. Fans were eager for more Culture Club and 80’s club scene nostalgia after last year’s mini tour.
This tour will be in support of Culture Club’s newest album, “Tribes” which has a TBD release date. Their last album, “Don’t Mind If I Do” was released 17 years ago in 1999. Yowza. The band is made up of Boy George, Roy Hay, Mikey Craig and Jon Moss and they got their start way back in 1981, over 34 years ago, and have sold more than 50 million records. Their most successful album was their first, “Colour by Numnber.”
