American Idol Live! Tour to Kick off in July
Hot on the heals of Harry Connick Jr.’s tour announcement, the show on which he judge’s will also be hitting the road. American Idol Live! announced that they will be touring for a 37-date event across the states. The tour will kick off July 8 in Sarasota, FL and will wrap up Aug. 28 in Riverside, CA. There will be a ton of cities visited including Atlantic City, NYC, Detroit, Chicago, Houston, L.A. and more. A huge improvement over last year’s show is that instead of the Idol’s performing to backup tracks (barf), a live band will also be joining them on tour.
While watching American Idol tonight, the host, Ryan Seacrest, just said he’s been hosting for 14 years. Geez. 14 years ago, 9-11 happened, popular movies included Monsters, Inc. and Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone and Dawson’s Creek was still on TV. Yikes. American Idol has created some real superstars including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, Adam Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Jennifer Hudson, Daughtry and Phillip Phillips.
