Willie Nelson Announces Outlaw Music Festival Tour

Few living musicians are as iconic as Willie Nelson.  He has been busy creating music, touring, being an activist and acting in over 30 films since his start in the early 70’s.   Now the legend will be taking his Outlaw Music Festival on tour this summer with a number of special guests.  This will be a 6-city tour in July that will have him stopping in New Orleans, Dallas, Rogers, Detroit, Milwaukee and Syracuse.  Special guests on the tour include Bob Dylan, The Avett Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell and The 400, My Morning Jacket, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Margo Price, Hayes Carll, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real.  If that’s not enough, more special guests will be added later.

While the Outlaw Music Festival is just 6 stops, is it actually a tour within a tour.  Willie will also be busy in 2017 visiting other cities like Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Kansas City and Los Angeles.. There will be a number of special guests on this tour as well, including Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Steve Moakler, Dwight Yoakam, Charlie Daniels Band and Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers.

Willie Nelson last albums were released in 2015, collaboration albums; “Django & Jimmie” with Merle Haggard (R.I.P.) and “Willie Nelson and Friends” with Tanya Tucker and Shirley Collie.  His most famous (infamous?) albums were ‘Shotgun Willie’ (1973), ‘Red Headed Stranger’ (1975) and ‘Stardust’ (1978).
