Rage Against the Machine Announces Rescheduled Tour Dates

Tentatively dips toe back into tour announcements….Is it safe yet?  It seems like things are slooooooowly returning to normal.  Albeit with restrictions and precautions in place, but we are allowed to have fun again.  Hallelujah!

So, without further ado, let’s start the announcements with a personal favorite of mine, Rage Against the Machine!  For the first time in over 11 long years, RATM will return to the stages across North America for their reunion tour in 2022.  The tour is dubbed the “Public Service Announcement Tour” and will kick off March 31 in El Paso, TX and will conclude Aug. 14 in NYC, New York.  They will also visit Oakland, Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., Raleigh and more!  They will also play some Canadian shows in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Hamilton and Toronto.  Run the Jewels will be joining them as support.  Their reunion tour was originally announced in early 2020 and they were going to headline a ton of big festivals like Coachella, Boston Calling and Firefly.  Sadly, we all know how that turned out.

The very last Rage Against the Machine show took place in 2011 in Los Angeles at their own L.A. Rising Festival which also included great acts like Muse, Rise Against, Lauryn Hill, Immortal Technique and El Gran Silencio.  Their last album was released back in 2000, “Renegades” and was certified Platinum by the RIAA.  Four years ago in 2017, the band was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility.  In 2016, Tim Commerford, Tom Morello and Brad Wilk teamed up to form Prophets of Rage with Public Enemy’s DJ Lord and Chuck D, as well as B-Real from Cypress Hill.  Tom Morello has a really great collaboration with SiriusXM across three of their music channels. I really recommend checking it out.
