Rise Against Announces Summer Tour with Killswitch Engage and Letlive
One of my favorite rock bands, Rise Against, just announced a big summer tour with Killswitch Engage and Letlive. I really feel like this tour could be a ton of fun, and perhaps, ::cough:: more fun than this year’s Warped Tour line up. The bands run the gamut of sound between Melodic hardcore punk and metalcore. The tour will kick off July 17 in Chicago, IL and will wrap up Aug. 16 in Denver, CO. Some of the other stops along the way include Boston, Philly, NYC, San Fran, L.A., and more. Fans can also check them out north of the border in Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton. Before the tour kicks off, Rose Against will be performing in a bunch of festivals like 98 Rockfest, Beale Street, Carolina Rebellion, Rock in Rio Las Vegas and Rock on the Range.
Rise Against is heading out on the road in support of their newest album, “The Black Market.” That album was released last summer. It hit the #3 spot on the Billboard 200. Their last album, “Endgame” was released in 2011 and hit the #2 spot on the charts. Rise Against had a brief run with Linkin Park’s “The Hunting Party Tour” before it was cancelled due to an injury Chester Bennington incurred.
