Foster the People Planning Tour in Support of Upcoming Album

Breaking news!  Foster the People will be heading out on a major tour this year.  This tour will be in support of new album coming out later this year The 19-city tour will kick off on May 26 in San Diego, CA and will wrap up Aug. 1 in Memphis, TN.  Other stops include Las Vegas, Dallas, Pittsburgh and Nashville.  Fans can also check out Foster the People at a number of music festivals including Neon Desert, Radio 104.5 Birthday, Mo Pop, Lollapalooza and Osheaga.  The band’s last official tour was in 2015 with Fitz and the Tantrums, The Velvet Teen and Sylvan Esso.

Foster the People’s newest album title is still TBA, but includes the singles “Lotus Eater,” “Doing It for the Money” and “Pay the Man.” Their last album, “Supermodel” was released in 2014 and peaked at the #3 spot on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum by RIAA.  The band really became main stream after their song “Pumped Up Kicks” became a viral success in 2010.  They gained a fanbase through small club shows and festival appearances.
