Stone Temple Pilots, Bush and The Cult Team Up for Revolution 3 Tour

Oh!  This will be a cool show to see!  Three amazing bands, Stone Temple Pilots, The Cult and Bush are teaming up for a new tour dubbed ‘Revolution 3.’  Each band will be performing full sets and the multiple-headliner tour will mix it up each night, i.e. Bush might perform first or last on a given night.   The tour will kick off July 18 in Nashville, TN and will wrap up Sept. 2 in Phoenix, AZ.  They will also head to Toronto, Albuquerque, San Bernardino, Boston and many more.  STP will also be performing at a number of festivals including: Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Northern Invasion, Pointfest, Rock on the Range, MMR*B*Q, BFD 2018 and Rockfest.

“It is with great honor and pleasure to know we will be spending our summer vacation on the road with the gents from The Cult and Bush,” Stone Temple Pilots’ Dean DeLeo said. “Two great bands and more so, great friends. Also, to be there with you is even better. With love. See y’all soon.”

STP has had a rough history with lead singers.  Their newest lead singer is former Dry Cell frontman Jeff Gutt.  The group had a falling out with original vocalist Scott Weiland in Feb. 2013 due to his drug use.  Sadly, Weiland died while on tour with his solo band in December 2013 of an overdose. He was never able to conquer those demons.  Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington filled in for STP after Weiland’s departure, but it was only a guest position. Bennington left STP in 2015 to focus on Linkin Park. Most sadly, Bennington died in his Los Angeles home in July 2017, his death ruled a suicide. Gutt joined STP in late 2017. Before STP and Dry Cell, he appeared on The X Factor USA.
