Boy George and Culture Club to Bring 80’s Back to America
A 80’s icon is bringing his act back across the pond for an exciting new tour. British singer-songwriter, Boy George and his band the Culture Club, are planning on a new tour to support their new album. The tour will kick off July 20 in Denver, CO and will wrap up Aug. 16 in Orlando, FL. Some of the other major stops along the way include NYC, Atlanta, Boston, Miami and Atlantic City.
The Culture Club got their start back in 1981. However they went on a Hiatus between 1986 and 1998 when Boy George went out on solo. Their last album was released in 1999 and it was titled “Don’t Mind if I Do.” The band has sold over 50 million records and 10 of their singles hit the US Top 40 including “Karma Chameleon” and “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?” There is no official date given for the release of their newest album. There were some hiccups late last year with regards to a throat condition with Boy George. Boy George was a mentor recently on the current season of American Idol.
