Norah Jones Announces Summer Tour with Mavis Staples
Well, this is unexpected. I feel like it’s been a hot minute since we’ve heard from her, but it was recently announced that not only is Norah Jones back on the scene, but she will also be teaming up with Mavis Staples for a tour this summer. The 12-city tour kicks off May 12th in Albuquerque and runs into August making additional stops in Tucson, Phoenix, Indio, San Diego, Los Angeles, Portland, Burlington, Brooklyn, Bethel, Baltimore and wrapping up Aug. 5 in Canadaigua, NY. Fans can also check her out at the New Orleans Jazz Fest and Martha Vineyard’s Beach Road Weekend.
This tour will be in support of her latest album, ‘Begin Again’ was released in April of 2019 and follows up 2016’s ‘Day Breaks’ which reached #2 on the Billboard 200. The nine-time Grammy winner has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and was named as the top jazz artist of the 2000-2009 decade by Billboard.
