2 Awesome Women of Rock Announce Joint Tour: Blondie and Garbage
Two of the greatest, most outspoken, bad-ass women of rock have announced a 22 date co-headlining tour. Blondie and Garbage are joining forces. Can you hear that? I’m squealing. Legit. Their ‘Rage and Rapture’ Tour will kick off on July 5 in Saratoga, FL and will wrap up Aug. 12 in Dallas, TX. They will also visit Las Vegas, Toronto, NYC, Philadelphia and Orlando. Exene Cervenka and Deap Valley will be joining them on tour.
In advance on this tour, Blondie plans to release a new album, her eleventh, titled, “Pollinator” on May 5 via BMG Right Management. Her last album, “Ghosts of Download” was released in 2014, which was part of their double album, “Blondie 4(0) Ever” celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary. On that album includes guests appearances by Miss Guy, Systema Solar, Beth Ditto and more. In their 40+ year history, the original chick of punk rock have sold 40 million records worldwide and have been nominated twice for Grammy awards.
