Modest Mouse Plans New Summer Tour with Brand New
One of the current best indie/alt rock bands out there just announced a new summer co-headlining tour. Modest Mouse announced that they will be heading out on the road with Brand New. The tour will kick off on June 28 in Magna, UT and will wrap up July 31 in Portland, OR. Some of the other stops along the way include Chicago, Atlanta, NYC, Philly and Phoenix. A special show will take place in Issaquah, just outside Seattle, which is Modest Mouse’s hometown. Huh, I actually though MM was from England. Interesting! Prior to the tour, MM will be performing in New Zealand and Australia.
This new tour will be in support of Modest Mouse’s new album, “Strangers to Ourselves” which was released almost a year ago in March of 2015. This is the band’s sixth album and reached the #3 spot on the Billboard 200. Their last album, “We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank”was released in 2007 and had equal success. They were busy in 2015 with a North American tour and lots of festival appearances like Sasquatch Music Fest and Live 105’s BFD.
