Shawn Mendes Plans Huge Headlining World Tour
Shawn Mendes is one of the newest boy band cuties to hit the scene a bang. The pop singer just announced a huge new tour in support of his debut album, “Handwritten.” The shows will be jam packed with squealing pre-teens and will kick off in Europe first in April/May then will head state side in July starting on the July 15 in Boca Raton, FL and wrapping up Aug. 21 in Toronto, ON (his home town). Mendes will make stops along the way in Atlanta, San Antonio, Seattle, Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia.
Shawn Mendes released his first album almost a year ago in April of 2015 via Island Records. The Canadian cutie reached the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 and hit the top 5 in Canada, Portugal, Spain, Denmark and Sweden. He was very busy in 2014 as he spent most of the year touring with another boy pop star, Austin Mahone. Last year sealed his star quality as he was an opening act for Taylor Swift and her 1989 World Tour with Vance Joy.
