As I Lay Dying Announces 2019 Tour Dates
Metalcore group As I Lay Dying is ready to tackle 2019 with a fresh tour. Their 2018 comeback tour had some pretty mixed reviews. Many were thrilled at the comeback, others were less than thrilled that singer Tim Lambesis was brought back after he plead guilty to hiring a hitman to murder his estranged wife. A fairly valid reason to be dismayed with the band. However, despite the backlash they had extremely successful tours in both the United States and Europe.
In a message posted in December, Lambesis addressed the backlash, writing, “I stand against who I became in my past and am pursuing a new purpose in the rebirth of AILD. We collectively are. People who support AILD are not supporting the person I once was, because part of my life’s work now is to undo the hurt I’ve caused and to help others in addiction. Instead, I think AILD fans are supporting the belief that people can change.”
The 2019 tour will kick off March 15 in St. Louis, MO and will eventually wrap up April 6 in Springfield, MO. They will also make stops in Louisville, Detroit, Providence, Baltimore, Tampa, Birmingham, Nashville and more.
