The Pixies Announce 2017 Head Carrier Tour

One of my most fav ever bands, The Pixies, just announced a big new tour!  Their 2017 tour is dubbed the “Head Carrier: tour and will kick off for 21 shows on April 21 in Pomona, CA and will wrap up May 26 in Brooklyn, NY.  They will also stop in Los Angeles, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia.  Before the tour wraps up, The Pixies will play three consecutive shows in their hometown of Boston.  The band will be in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa prior to the U.S. tour.

The Pixies released their latest album, “Head Carrier” in September of 2016 via Pixiesmusic and PIAS Recordings.  Fans can look forward to checking out their new bassist, Paz Lenchantin and hearing the singles “Talent,” “Um Chagga Lagga” and The “Tenement Song.”  Their last album, “Indie Cindy” was released in 2014 and was their first album in 23 years.  It reached the #23 spot on the Billboard 200, the best yet for The Pixies.  In 2015, The Pixies celebrated 25 years of punk rock with a three -disc anniversary reissue of their breakthrough album, “Doolittle.”
