Rush Announces 40th Anniversary Tour
Hot concert news!! One of the most epic rock bands ever just announced a 40th anniversary tour. Rock gods, Rush, just announced a major tour in celebration of their 40th anniversary. The tour is dubbed the R40 LIVE Tour and will be the band’s 21st tour and will probably be their last. Did you read that?? Don’t miss out on seeing this show! The tour will kick off on May 8 in Tulsa, OK and will wrap up Aug. 1 in Inglewood, CA. In total, there will be over 30 shows across the U.S. and Canada. Some of the stops along the way include Dallas, Chicago, NYC, Las Vegas, Montreal and two back-to-back shows in their hometown of Toronto. Fans can expect more of the amazing theatrics that Rush is known for.
Rush got their start back in 1976 with their self-titled album. They have a total of 19 studio albums, 10 compilation albums, 10 live albums and 78 singles under their belts. To date, they have 24 gold records, 14 platinum records and they are just behind The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for the record for having the most consecutive gold or platinum albums by a rock band. They earned a spot in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994 after winning seven Grammy nominations and eight Juno Awards.
