Train Announces Summer Tour Plans
While a totally respectable band, Train has a cult following that I just can’t totally comprehend. Regardless, this is great news for those fans and even just the casual Train fan. The Grammy Award winning band has just announced a lengthy tour this year across the U.S. The tour will be in support of their newest album titled, “Picasso at the Wheel.” Joining Train on tour will be The Fray and Matt Nathanson. The tour will kick off on May 21 in Wheatland, CA and will wrap up July 25 in Quincy, WA. Major cities to be visited include L.A., Dallas, Atlanta, Toronto, Cincinnati, Chicago, Nashville, and more! Fans can expect to hear songs from the new album, as well as from the past 20 years.
Train’s newest album, “Bulletproof Picasso,” was released back in September of 2014. It has topped out at the #5 spot on the Billboard 200. Their last album, “California 37” was released in 2012 and was the last album to include drummer Scott Underwood before he left the band. They won the Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group in 2011 for their live version of “Hey, Soul Sister.”
