Pearl Jam Announces Huge New Spring Tour

I am a 90’s alt rock lover, so this is exciting news to me!  The one and only Pearl Jam have announced that they will be heading out on a North American tour this spring.  The tour will be in support of their newest album, “Lightning Bolt” and will kick off on April 8 in Fort Lauderdale, FL and will wrap up Aug. 20-22 for back-to-back shows in Chicago, IL.  Some of the other stops along the way include double shows in Philadelphia, New York and Boston. After a U.S. run, they’ll head north for shows in Quebec City, Ottawa and Toronto. In total, there will be 18 cities on this tour. In addition to the tour, Eddie Veder and band will be playing a number of festivals like New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Bonnaroo and some MLB Stadiums.

Pearl Jam released their latest album, “Lightning Bolt” a few years ago in 2013.  The album shot to the tops of the Billboard 200 chart and had equal success in countries like Canada, Australia, Spain and the UK.  Their previous album, “Backspacer” was released in 2009 and was certified Gold by RIAA with more than 500,000 units sold.  Pearl Jam got their start back in 1990 and have since sold more than 60 million records worldwide.
