AFI Plans The Blood Tour in Support of Newest Album

My 00’s emo-heart is swooning.  Emo-punk group AFI just announced a big new 2017 North American tour.  The new tour is dubbed The Blood Tour and will be in support of their newest self-titled album and will kick off on Jan. 20 in Los Angeles, CA and will wrap up Feb. 21 in San Diego, CA.  Some of other cities AFI will stop in include Chicago, NYC, Philly, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Dallas and Las Vegas.  The band will also travel north to Vancouver and Toronto in Canada. The Chain Gang of 1974 and Nothing will join AFI on tour.  Prior to the tour, fans can also check them out at the Almost Acoustic Christmas with Blink 182, Kings of Leon and Jimmy Eat World.

AFI plans to release their newest album, a self titled album next month on January 20th via Concord Music Group.   Their tenth album is also referred to as “The Blood Album” and included four limited vinyl color variants matching the four human blood types.  Their last album, “Burials” and was released in 2013 and reached teh #9 spot on the Billboard 200.  They had their most success with their seventh studio album, “Decemberunderground” which was released in 2006.
