The Doobie Brothers Announce 50th Anniversary Tour with Micheal McDonald

Happening in summer of 2020, The Doobie Brothers will reunite with former frontman Michael McDonald for the first time in almost 25 years to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary..  The first of 30 shows will kick off June 09, 2020 in West Palm Beach, FL and will conclude Oct. 10 in Houston, TX.   They will also stop in Nashville, Camden, Toronto, Cincinnati, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles and Houston.

“We’re truly excited about our 50th Anniversary Tour, as it’s a celebration of the band’s entire history,” singer-guitarist Tom Johnston said in a statement. “We’ll be performing songs from our full catalog, as well as new music.”

To give a tease of what to expect, The Doobie Brothers welcomed McDonald to the stage during their show in Nashville on Monday night, as per Rolling Stone. Together, they performed “Takin’ It to the Streets” to end the evening. The Doobie Brothers a part of 2019 touring with Santana during his Supernatural Now Tour. In 2018, they teamed up with Steely Dan for a huge co-headlining tour before joining The Eagles and Zac Brown Band for select shows.  Black Water is one of my all time most favorite songs.
