Taylor Swift Announces 1989 Tour

taylor swiftBreaking news!  Hot on the heals of releasing one of the best selling albums of the year (thus far), the reigning country-pop queen, Taylor Swift, announced that she will be heading out on tour next spring.  Her newest tour will be in support of her “1989” album that was released last week.  Her tour will be named the “1989 World Tour” and will kick off May 20 in Bossier City, CA and will wrap up Oct. 31 in Tampa, FL.  This is a very full and extensive tour.  Fans can expect her to stop at major stadiums and concert halls in all the major cities.    Joining Swift on tour is Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes.  Swift will continue her tour in Europe and Australia after the North American leg concludes.

Taylor Swift released her last album, “1989” on Oct. 27 and it’s breaking records all over the place.  Not surprisingly, it’s #1 on most of the world’s top album charts.  Her last album, “Red” was released in 2012.  Other albums include, “Speak Now” (2010) and “Fearless” (2008).  Recently, Swift did a cover of Vance Joy’s “Riptide” on Live Lounge for Fearne Cotton which is a weekday radio show on BBC Radio 1 in Great Britain.   In addition to her amazing music career, Swift also starred in the 2014 movie, “The Giver.”
