Weezer Announces Black Album and 2019 Spring Tour

It’s been a wild summer for Weezer.  They’ve of course been busy touring as they usually are, but now they’ve also got the cover of the century under their belts with their rendition of Toto’s Africa.   To keep the party going, Weezer announced their follow up to 2017’s album, Pacific Daydream with their long-awaited ‘Black Album.”  The album won’t be released until some unannounced date in 2019.  HOWEVER, as a giant tease, they’ve already released a new single with a music video.  It features Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz as ‘River Wentz,’ and unlucky Lyft driver who is having a terrible night. See the video here:

To celebrate this long awaited album, Weezer announced that they will tour again this spring with alt rock legends The Pixies.  The tour will kick off March 8 in Louisville, KY and will wrap up April 12 in Las Vegas, NV.  Before the tour kicks off, fans can check them out at Big Ticket Festival on Dec. 1 in Jacksonville, FL with Foster The People, AJR, Grandson & Meg Myers and at the IHeartRadio ALTer Ego on Jan. 19 in Inglewood, CA with Twenty One Pilots, Muse and The Killers.
