Smashing Pumpkins Announce 2018 30th Anniversary Tour with James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin
I’m pretty sure that we can all agree that Billy Corgan is kind of an odd dude. Great music…kinda odd. At any rate, Billy and his band The Smashing Pumpkins just dropped the news that they will be celebrating their 30th anniversary of the bands creation (yikes, I’m old) with a tour. Billy along with James Iha AND Jimmy Chamberlin (Where’s D’Arcy??) will head out on the road beginning Nov. 28 in Milwaukee, WI and will wrap up Dec. 7 in Mesa, AZ. Obviously they will also stop in Chicago, as well as St. Louis and San Antonio. The tour will also be in support of the band’s newest album, ‘Shine and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1/LLP No Past. No Future. No. Sun’ which will be released on Nov. 16, 2018.
The Smashing Pumpkins just wrapped up their ‘Shine and Oh So Bright Tour’ which was a celebration of the first tour with the power trio in 20 years. To kick off their 30th anniversary, Billy and the gang had a special 30th anniversary concert in Holmdel, NJ which had appearances by Courtney Love, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, Joy Division/New Order singer Peter Hook and tons more.
